Among Us is the smash-hit online multiplayer social deduction game developed and published by American game studio Innersloth. First released in 2018, it became a global phenomenon, winning multiple awards including The Game Award for Best Multiplayer and Best Mobile Game in 2020. The game supports cross-platform play across Android, iOS, PC, and consoles. The premise is deceptively simple. You are a colorful, armless cartoon astronaut aboard a spaceship (or other locations like the MIRA HQ, Polus, and the Airship). Before departure, however, a crisis emerges: hidden among the crew are one or more Impostors. Their goal is to sabotage the mission and kill everyone on board before the tasks are completed. For Crewmates, the goal is to complete all assigned tasks or identify and eject all Impostors through emergency meetings and voting. For Impostors, the goal is to kill off the crew without getting caught, using stealth, vents, and clever sabotage. The core gameplay loop alternates between completing objectives (tasks for Crewmates, sabotage for Impostors) and holding discussion meetings where players debate, accuse, and vote to eject suspected traitors. Every game is a tense, hilarious, and often paranoid experience that has redefined the party game genre.
